Know your destination

Correct body posture

You can also wear gloves if the object is overly hard and rough.

Lift the object

Once you are in a stable position, lift the object while keeping a good posture. Keep the object close to your body while in a standing position. Do not attempt any sudden turn or twist as it can cause a muscle injury.

Move

Make slow moves in small steps. Continue to keep the load close to you and if you feel it is about to fall, stop and place it on the ground gently.

Place the item down

Don't rush to get rid of the object. Make a smooth transition from a standing position to kneeling on the ground to avoid common injuries. Keep your neck and back straight and place the object in front of you on the ground. Do not lift your hands until most of the weight has been shifted to the ground.
