What is Ovex?
Ovex is a medicine that treats threadworm infections located in the gut. This medicine is also suitable for treating less common worm infections, including whipworm, roundworm and hookworm.
How does Aciclovir work?
Ovex contains the active ingredient mebendazole, known as an anthelmintic medicine. It works by stopping the worms from using sugar (glucose) to live, which ultimately kills the worms.
Is Ovex suitable for me?
This medication is suitable for use in adults and children aged 2 years and over. You should not use this medicine if you have ever had a bad reaction to any of the listed ingredients or if you are, or may be, pregnant. Since threadworms spread very easily, it is recommended that all the family is treated at the same time.
