Bisoprolol is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, and other cardiovascular conditions. It works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing the blood vessels, which reduces the workload on the heart and lowers blood pressure.

Bisoprolol Side Effects

Common side effects of bisoprolol include fatigue, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, and diarrhea. Bisoprolol can also cause low blood sugar levels, so it's important to monitor your blood sugar levels if you take this medication. Bisoprolol may interact with other medications, so be sure to tell your doctor about all the medications and supplements you take.

If you're being treated for high blood pressure, keep taking bisoprolol regularly as prescribed. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage over time depending on how well the medication works to control your blood pressure. Bisoprolol is available in tablet form and can be taken with or without food.

Bisoprolol Fumarate

(Zebeta) is a medication that belongs to the class of drugs known as beta blockers. Beta blockers work by blocking the action of the hormone epinephrine (adrenaline). By blocking the action of adrenaline, beta blockers reduce the heart rate and blood pressure.

If you are taking bisoprolol fumarate after a heart attack, it may take 3 to 4 weeks before you get the full benefit of this medication. Continue to take bisoprolol fumarate even if you feel well. Do not stop taking bisoprolol fumarate without talking to your doctor.

If you suddenly stop taking bisoprolol fumarate, your heart may race or beat irregularly and you may have increased blood pressure. To avoid these effects, your doctor will gradually lower your dose over a period of weeks or months depending on how long you have been taking bisoprolol fumarate. When stopping this medication, your doctor may also want to slowly reduce the dosage over a period of days or weeks to avoid withdrawal symptoms such as chest pain and short
