Celexa

Side Effect

Serious heart issues could be brought on by Celexa. If you experience any of these symptoms, including rapid or pounding heartbeats and sudden dizziness (feeling as though you might pass out), call your doctor right away.

Within the first few months of treatment, Celexa can increase suicidal thoughts or behaviors in some kids, teenagers, or young adults. The most significant contributors to suicidal thoughts or behaviors are depression and other severe mental illnesses. Keep an eye out for these changes, and if you notice them, call the medical professional right away. Celexa is not recommended for use in kids under the age of 12.

Citalopram can enter breast milk and harm a baby who is nursing. If your baby is being breastfed, let your doctor know.

Dosages

There are tablet and liquid versions of Celexa. The Celexa dosage that your doctor recommends will differ depending on a number of variables, such as:

-Any additional medical issues you may have

-How Celexa affects you

– Your age

It is important to take Celexa exactly as directed by your doctor. Typically, your Celexa dosage will be raised gradually until it is the right level for you. You can take Celexa with or without food.

Take Celexa as soon as you remember if you miss a dose. Skip the missed dose and resume your regular dosing schedule if your next dose is almost due. Never combine two doses at once.
