Dosage and Administration
The dosage for Lamisil Tablets in adults is 250 mg (one tablet) once daily for six weeks. It might take longer for some patients to fully recover.
It is recommended to take Lamisil with or without food.
To treat toenail onychomycosis, an adult should take one Lamisil tablet, 250 mg, once a day for 12 weeks. It might take longer for some patients to fully recover.
For adults with fingernail onychomycosis, a single 250 mg tablet of Lamisil should be taken once daily for six weeks. It might take longer for some patients to fully recover.
Lamisil Tablets should be used to treat onychomycosis until the condition is cured or there is proof of a persistent or recurring infection.
Lamisil (terbinafine hydrochloride) Tablets USP, 250 mg are white to yellow-tinged white, capsule shaped, biconvex, film-coated tablets debossed ‘D’ on one side and ‘5811’ on the other side containing terbinafine hydrochloride equivalent to 250 mg of terbinafine. They are supplied as follows:

Counseling for Patients Information
Encourage the patient to read the patient information, which has been approved by the FDA.
Inform patients that, depending on the condition being treated, Lamisil is typically taken for 6 to 12 weeks.
Recommend to patients whether or not to take their Lamisil tablets with food.
