Most users of Monurol report no negative side effects. However, there is a chance of having an allergic reaction, just like with all antibiotics. Rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, and breathing difficulties are all indications of an allergic reaction. If you experience these symptoms, see a doctor right away.
Other less severe side effects of monurol could include headache, mild nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Most of the time, these side effects resolve on their own and don't need to be treated by a doctor.
Before beginning treatment, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of taking Monurol with your doctor. During pregnancy, this medication should only be taken when absolutely necessary. Monurol may enter breast milk and be harmful to a nursing infant. Therefore, it is not advised to breastfeed while using this medication.
