Where is mouth pain found?

The mouth contains many parts that are constantly in use. The teeth or gums can often be the cause of pain however, the soft tissues of the mouth, including the lips, inside of the cheeks, tongue, floor and roof can become infected by sores, causing discomfort and pain.

What may be causing mouth pain?

The mouth can become painful for a number of reasons. A virus or bacterial infection may cause a cold or canker sore. Other causes can include thrush, leukoplakia (common in smokers), medications or dental issues.
