What is Efracea?

Efracea is a prescription medication, used to treat acne, a skin condition that causes pimples and red bumps. It contains Doxycylcine 40mg in a modified release formulation and belongs to a family of antibiotics called tetracyclines.

What is Efracea?

Efracea is a prescription medication used to treat the skin condition rosacea. The medication comes in slow-release capsules intended for use by adults. It contains Doxycycline 40mg.

How does it work?

The active ingredient doxycycline is an antibiotic that kills bacteria living on the skin. It can also be used to treat other bacterial infections such as sexually transmitted diseases and malaria.

Is Efracea right for me?

Efracea may be right for you if you suffer from rosacea which is a skin condition that causes a thickening of the skin, abnormal redness, flushing and sometimes small raised spots called papules.

Side Effects

Dry mouth
Inflammation of the nose and throat

Take one capsule in the morning, taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water; 16-week maximum course.
