How does it work?
Loperamide is an anti-motility medicine. This means it works to slow down food as it moves through your gut which allows your body to draw in more water from your intestines, making your stool firmer and ensures you defecate less often.
Is Loperamide suitable for me?
You are able to buy loperamide without a prescription if you are 12 years or older.
Dosage
Commonly Used Dosage Guidelines for Loperamide.
Take 2 tablets immediately. After each further episode of diarrhoea take 1 capsule. Maximum of 6 capsules per day. Do not use it continuously for longer than 48 hours for the same attack.
