Rozex is a topical gel used to treat acne rosacea that contains 0.75% Metronidazole. It contains the ingredient metronidazole which combats the skin infections to lessen the outbreaks and inflammation caused by rosacea.

What is Rozex?
Rozex is used to treat the skin condition rosacea. This topical medication is used to treat the pimples, pustules (spots) and redness associated with rosacea.
How does it work?
Rozex contains the active substance metronidazole which belongs to the group of medicines called antiprotozoal. Its antibacterial agents have been shown to reduce the infection and inflammation of rosacea.
Is Rozex suitable for me?
This product is intended for adults only and comes as both a gel and a cream. Tell your doctor if you suffer from any other medical conditions before beginning this medication.
Dosage
Commonly Used Dosage Guidelines for Rozex.
Apply a pea sized amount thinly twice daily to each reddened area of the face. Maximum continuous use of 16 weeks.
Side Effects
All medications can cause potential side effects, below we have listed some potential side effects, however, these do not always occur.
- Dry skin
- Redness of the skin (erythema)
- Itching of the skin (pruritus)
- Skin discomfort (burning, pain of skin/stinging)
- Skin irritation
- Worsening of rosacea
