La clorofilla è il pigmento verde delle piante ed è strutturalmente simile all'eme, con al centro il magnesio anziché il ferro. Le clorofilline sono derivati stabili e semisintetici del sodio-rame tradizionalmente utilizzati negli integratori alimentari verdi. La coltura vegetale viene coltivata ed essiccata a bassa temperatura per preservare gli enzimi e i polifenoli naturalmente associati.
