Light chairs usually mean small seats and a hard ride. The Welzo AirRide Pro 14 fixes both: a generous 48 cm wide seat, a tall 51 cm backrest, four-point suspension and big 12-inch rear wheels, in a chair that still weighs only 14 kg and folds to 30.5 cm thick for the car boot.

Twin 200 W brushless motors deliver 4 mph and 12° hill-climbing for riders up to 120 kg. The 10.2 Ah removable lithium battery covers up to 10 miles and is airline-approved for cabin carriage, so the AirRide Pro travels as well as it rides. Covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

How to use

Charge the battery fully before first use (4–6 hours).
Unfold the chair until the side frames lock and fit the battery under the seat.
Switch on at the joystick, select speed 1 and move the joystick gently.
To fold, switch off, lift the seat centre strap and fold inward; the chair stands on its own when folded.
Top up after every outing – a partial charge is fine for lithium batteries.

Safety and care

Maximum user weight 120 kg.
Keep to gradients of 12° or less.
Release freewheel levers only when a carer is pushing the chair.
Charge indoors between 0–40 °C; never charge a damaged battery.
Carry the lithium battery in hand luggage only when flying and declare it at check-in.

Warranty and peace of mind

2-year manufacturer warranty on frame, motors, controller and electrics, with UK-based Welzo support and spare parts. Battery covered for 6 months.
