Bietenwortel is van nature rijk aan betaïne (trimethylglycine), een methyldonorverbinding, en hele bietenconcentraat wordt al lang gebruikt in de praktijkvoeding. Taurine is een zwavelhoudend aminozuur dat wordt aangetroffen in de gal en door het hele lichaam, en pancrelipase is een pancreasenzympreparaat met lipase-, amylase- en protease-activiteit. Vitamine C draagt bij aan de normale collageenvorming, aan de normale werking van het immuunsysteem en aan de bescherming van cellen tegen oxidatieve stress.
