Leucine sits among the essential amino acids needed for everyday protein production and muscle upkeep. This ingredient is a key part of Branched-Chain Amino Acids, which are naturally found in protein-rich foods and many supplements.

Leucine in this form comes as part of a BCAA blend that helps to support lean muscle activity and recovery through its role in protein production and amino acid balance.

What Does Leucine Do?

Leucine contributes to muscle protein synthesis and helps maintain muscle during demanding exercise routines. This aligns with EFSA guidance on amino acids supporting normal muscle function in combination with other nutrients.

The combination of leucine with other amino acids, along with related ingredients, supports overall muscle function and post-exercise recovery.
