The Skinny Food Co Chocaholic Malt Balls are a gluten-free, lower-sugar treat with a milk chocolate flavour and a cereal centre. Each serving comes in at about 87–89 kcal with under 1g sugar, so it’s a lighter indulgence next to your usual chocolate snacks. The range blends a gluten-free cereal base with a milk chocolate flavoured coating, aiming for lower sugar while steering clear of palm oil. This mix makes a handy on-the-go treat for anyone watching their sugar intake.

What does this low-sugar snacking option do, exactly? This low-sugar profile helps create a balanced approach to snacking by cutting sugar exposure in a small indulgence and by offering a gluten-free option for easier digestion where appropriate. This combo emphasises accessible, daily nutrition while aligning with general guidance on reduced sugar choices in snacking contexts. It recognises the role of sugar reduction in meal and snack planning. This supplement isn't meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The Skinny Food Co is the brand we decided on for this indulgent, low-sugar chocolate snack thanks to its clear focus on clean, everyday nibbling with mindful ingredients. The maker highlights gluten-free status, non-GMO parts and no palm oil, which fits with our emphasis on openness and responsible sourcing. This brand’s approach to straightforward, recognisable ingredients supports steady quality in a product designed for guilt-free enjoyment.

The product itself offers a milk chocolate–flavoured coating with a gluten-free cereal centre and a claimed sugar reduction per serving, which resonates with our shoppers looking for portion-conscious treats. Our team checks each brand and product mix with a practical, safety-first lens, and this brand’s commitment to ingredient purity and responsible formulation stood out in our review. This brand got evaluated by Welzo's healthcare professionals for compliance with how we verify ingredient quality.
