Tenormin

Side Effects

Tenormin's side effects can include fatigue, diarrhea, lightheadedness, and dizziness. Contact your doctor if you experience any of these side effects.

Dosages

Tenormin is typically started at a dose of 50 mg once daily. Depending on how you react to the medication, your doctor may change the dose you are given.

Warning

Low blood sugar levels are a side effect of tenormin. Tenormin may raise your risk of low blood sugar if you have diabetes. Hypotension, or low blood pressure, is another side effect of tenormin. Contact your doctor if you experience any of these side effects.

Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medicines and supplements, as Tenormin may interact with other drugs. If the risks are not outweighed by the potential benefits, tenormin should not be used during pregnancy. Tenormin is a pregnancy drug of category C. As a result, it is unknown whether Tenormin will harm an unborn child. Tenormin is not advised to be taken while nursing. This medication may enter breast milk and negatively impact a nursing infant.
