The Core Ingredient Is: Maltodextrin

Maltodextrin is a swiftly absorbed carbohydrate used to supply fast energy during activity. This form is drawn from starch and commonly utilised to support energy availability in endurance settings.

What Does Maltodextrin Do?

Maltodextrin helps in delivering glucose to muscle cells during exercise, aiding to stabilise blood sugar and supporting steady performance. Research shows that carbohydrate availability can support endurance efforts and delay fatigue, a finding that aligns with NHS and EFSA guidance.

Dr. Jeukendrup from Maastricht University described how higher carbohydrate intake during prolonged activity can support energy provision and performance, aligning with the product’s rapid carbohydrate delivery mechanism.

The main benefit is energy support during endurance activity, supported by the inclusion of maltodextrin alongside electrolytes in isotonic formulas.
