Serrapeptase is a proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzyme originally isolated from the silkworm's gut bacteria Serratia and has been used in Japan and Europe for decades.

Activity is verified on every batch and the product is encapsulated in the UK under GMP conditions in a vegan hypromellose capsule, free from fillers and flow agents. Because serrapeptase is a systemic enzyme, it is taken on an empty stomach so it is absorbed rather than used up digesting food.
