Examples of Issues You Can Report

You may submit a report if:

  • You believe a product or content is illegal, unsafe, or non-compliant
  • There is an issue with the product price, description, or representation
  • Information on the product page is incorrect, incomplete, or misleading
  • Content on a product page is offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful
  • You suspect counterfeit goods or unauthorised products
  • You believe there is a copyright, trademark, or intellectual property infringement
  • A listing may otherwise contravene applicable law or regulatory requirements

How to Submit a Report

You should provide sufficient detail to enable assessment, including:

  • Product name and URL
  • Description of the issue
  • Supporting evidence (where available)
  • Contact details (if a response is requested)

Welzo may request further information where reasonably required.

Reports of Illegal or Non-Compliant Products

Welzo uses a combination of automated systems and human review to assess reports relating to potentially illegal or non-compliant products or content.

Our assessment may take into account:

  • The specificity and completeness of the information provided
  • Any supporting evidence submitted
  • The history and context of the listing, supplier, or report

Where a report provides sufficient information to establish that a listing is in breach of applicable law or platform policies, Welzo may take action, including:

  • Removal or restriction of listings
  • Suspension or termination of seller accounts
  • Implementation of additional compliance or monitoring measures

Where the information provided does not allow us to determine that a breach has occurred, Welzo may be unable to take further action.

Outcome and Response

Where contact details are provided:

  • We aim to review reports within 1–2 working days
  • We aim to provide a response within 3–5 working days, depending on the nature and complexity of the matter

Welzo may contact you to request additional information where necessary.

Further Submissions

If you disagree with the outcome of a report:

  • You may submit a new report with additional information or evidence
  • Any further submission should clearly explain why you believe the initial assessment was incorrect

Welzo will assess any additional information in accordance with its standard processes.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

Welzo respects the intellectual property rights of third parties.

Reports of alleged infringement should include:

  • Identification of the intellectual property right claimed
  • The URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content
  • A description of the alleged infringement
  • Evidence of ownership or authority to act
  • Contact details of the reporting party

Welzo reserves the right to remove or disable access to content where it reasonably believes an infringement may have occurred.

Knowingly submitting false or misleading reports may give rise to legal liability.

Misuse of Reporting Features

Welzo reserves the right to restrict or suspend access to reporting features where they are misused.

Examples include:

  • Repeated submission of unsubstantiated or unfounded reports
  • Submission of duplicate or substantially similar reports without new information

Any restriction will be proportionate to the nature and severity of the misuse.

Where products are made available to consumers within the United Kingdom, Welzo seeks to operate in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks, including the UK Cosmetics Regulation and broader UK consumer protection legislation.

Welzo maintains internal procedures to ensure reports are assessed, recorded, and addressed in a structured and timely manner .

Liability and Platform Position

Welzo operates as an intermediary marketplace platform facilitating transactions between independent third-party sellers and customers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Welzo does not manufacture, import, or take title to products listed by third-party sellers unless expressly stated
  • Responsibility for product compliance, safety, and regulatory adherence rests with the relevant seller, manufacturer, or importer
  • Welzo does not guarantee that listings are free from error or non-compliance, although it maintains processes to review and address reported concerns
  • Welzo shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from third-party products or listings, except where required under applicable law

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
