The Active Ingredient Is: Casein (Micellar Casein)

Casein is a slow-digesting milk protein that provides a steady supply of amino acids to the body. This formulation uses micellar casein, a high-purity form that releases amino acids gradually over several hours.

This form is sourced from milk and is designed to support a prolonged amino acid availability for muscle protein balance during fasting periods, such as overnight.

What Does Casein Do?

Casein forms a gel in the stomach, which slows gastric emptying and gradually releases amino acids into the bloodstream over time. This sustained amino acid availability supports ongoing muscle repair and recovery during extended periods without feeding.

Dr. Snijders of Wageningen University found that casein before sleep can enhance overnight muscle protein synthesis in healthy individuals, illustrating its role in supporting muscle maintenance during rest.
