Xylitol acts as a sugar alcohol used in oral care products and is the main active ingredient in this formula. It is naturally sweetened and helps gentle cleaning while contributing to overall dental hygiene. This form is often derived as a sugar substitute and is included to team up with other ingredients to help keep an oral environment that aids cavity prevention and clean teeth [for daily use].

What Xylitol Really Does?

Xylitol helps cut down the load of cavity-causing bacteria and supports a cleaner mouth by lowering plaque levels. It sits in helping maintain a balanced oral environment and supporting normal remineralisation processes as recognised by EFSA and NHS guidance. Dr. Mäkinen from the University of Helsinki found that regular xylitol use is associated with anti-cariogenic effects, including reduced bacterial activity and improved oral health outcomes [according to research].
