Una crema a quadrata è un noto emolliente usato per trattare le condizioni della pelle squamosa e asciutta. La crema di acquadrata aiuta ad ammorbidirsi o possiamo dire che idrata la pelle. La pelle secca è solo a causa della mancanza di acqua nello strato esterno delle cellule della pelle noto anche come Stratum Corneum.
Quando questo strato si asciuga, sembra rotto e squamoso e talvolta diventa prurito.
Quando troppa acqua evapora dalla sua superficie, la pelle si asciuga. Ciò aumenta man mano che invecchiamo e si aggrava il lavaggio perché l'acqua calda con sapone può rimuovere lo strato di olio naturale presente sulla pelle.
