Fits in the boot much easier than I expected. Really handy when I want to take it somewhere in the car

I mainly use it for shopping and little trips out, and it’s been really helpful. Easy to drive, comfortable, and the basket is so handy

Coped with inclines and semi rough terrain well. Batteries did almost fall out once when folding for transport so made a retaining strap. Also made a waterproof cover as one wasn’t available to buy . But overall very pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants a lightweight portable mobility scooter

I love my freehold x mobility scooter. It is solidly built and folds/unfolds in seconds and copes well with uneven surfaces and pretty steep ramps. It could do with a more informative battery level indicator. I would recommend it as a reliable transport.

I spent weeks researching lightweight mobility scooters before choosing the Welzo FreeFold X and I’m so glad I did. The biggest selling point for me was the weight because I needed something I could realistically take travelling and put in the car without needing help all the time.

I’ve now used it for a couple of holidays and several day trips and it has been brilliant. It folds in seconds and is compact enough to fit comfortably in the boot without taking up loads of space. I was also pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it feels to ride, even after longer periods out and about.

The battery life has been excellent and I haven’t had any issues with range at all. I managed a full day around town, shops and sightseeing without worrying about charging it. It feels sturdy, safe and much better quality than some cheaper models I looked at online.

Most importantly, it’s given me my independence back when travelling. Instead of worrying about long walks or whether places will be manageable, I can actually enjoy the day. Worth every penny in my opinion.

I can honestly say the FreeFold X has been a complete game-changer for me. The folding mechanism is another highlight. With just a touch, it folds down neatly in seconds, which makes it perfect for travel or even storing in small spaces at home. I’ve had people stop and ask me about it because it looks so modern and compact compared to bulkier scooters.

I feel I’ve had a bad experience with the purchase and after sales service. Disappointing as I feel it was an expensive product that I was looking forward to. It had said it has a 30km distance on a single charge but after 2 miles I get a red light on the charge indicator even though it was fully charged to start with. Also it doesn’t appear to have a locking system to keep it together on lifting. Overall I’m very disappointed. I have asked for a phone call numerous times but I don’t ever receive a call?

I brought this but have since seen it else where cheaper like another £200 cheaper... same make and model....
I am happy with the scooter it is a lot lighter than my last 1... I do wish it had a reverse bleeper on it as I have broken my neck and can't turn to look behind me, so can't warn people I am going back wards. Also I think it could do with having a bit more turn on the wheels as u have to move back and forth to get round some corners. Thank you melanie

Top speed is just right for pavements. It matches a nice brisk walking pace, so my husband can easily walk alongside me without me pulling away or lagging behind.

Good. Easy to transport - a bit uncomfortable apparently if youre 86 but i just shove a cushion on it. It seems fine to me. Going to take it on plane - perfect for that!

My dad has severe COPD and gets breathless after 20 yards. This Welzo Freefold X has allowed him to join the family on outdoor walks again instead of staying in the car.

The electromagnetic braking system gives total peace of mind. As soon as you let go of the control lever, it stops dead on the spot, even on steep slopes.

Unboxing was a breeze. Just removed the protective foam, charged the battery overnight, and took it straight out to the park the next morning.
