Nexium ist eine wirksame Behandlung von saurem Reflux, Verdauungsstörungen und Sodbrennen. Nexium enthält den Inhaltsstoff Esomeprazol, der zur Behandlung von Sodbrennen und saurem Rückfluss verwendet wird, indem die Säuremenge im Magen senkt. Nexium kann auch bei der Behandlung von verwendet werden  Magengeschwüre. 

Es gehört zu einer Klasse von Medikamenten, die als Protonenpumpeninhibitoren bekannt sind.
