The Active Ingredient Is: Protease (Digestive Enzyme)

Protease is a gut-friendly digestive enzyme that helps break down proteins to aid nutrient availability in the gut.

This form is part of a plant-based enzyme blend and is complemented by extra enzymes such as amylase, lipase and lactase to support overall digestion and nutrient utilisation.

What Does Protease Do?

Protease participates in the normal process of protein digestion, contributing to the breakdown of dietary proteins as part of a broader enzymatic system. This activity helps nutrients become available for absorption in the digestive tract.

Evidence-based context supports the role of digestive enzymes in helping nutrient access after meals, in line with EFSA and NHS perspectives on digestion and enzyme function.
