The Active Ingredient Is: Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin essential for everyday bodily functions. This formulation mainly contains Vitamin C in its ascorbic acid form, with rose hips extract added as a supporting ingredient to complement the vitamin.

This form is commonly sourced from citrus as described in product profiles and research, and is paired with rose hips to provide extra antioxidant activity while supporting the vitamin's main role.

What Does Vitamin C Do?

Vitamin C helps maintain normal immune function and supports collagen synthesis, which contributes to skin health and connective tissue. It also supports antioxidant protection and helps boost iron absorption, in line with EFSA and NHS considerations. Dr. Carr from the University of Nottingham noted Vitamin C's role in these processes.

Rose hips provide additional vitamin C and polyphenols that complement its antioxidant activity, supporting the nutrient's overall function.
