Side Effects
Prilosec might have negative effects. Headache, diarrhea, and nausea are typical adverse reactions. Although they are uncommon, more severe side effects can include kidney issues, low blood magnesium levels, and bone fractures.
Contact your doctor right away if you experience any of these side effects. Although there are a few exceptions, most people can safely take Prilosec. If you are allergic to omeprazole or any other component of Prilosec, you should avoid taking it.
Additionally, if you have a condition like liver disease or low blood magnesium levels, you shouldn't take Prilosec. Before taking Prilosec, make sure to discuss all of your medical conditions with your doctor.
