Q: What causes hair loss?

Androgenic alopecia is male or female pattern hair loss that is caused by family genetics. Alopecia areata is a medical condition that causes patchy hair loss as a result of a change in the immune system. Hair loss may also be caused by a hair-pulling disorder called trichotillomania. If you are undergoing certain medical treatments, you may also experience hair loss.

Q: How does hair loss in women show?

Hair loss in women can be seen in many ways on the scalp. It can be a gradual thinning of hair, patchy hair loss or a more sudden loss due to a hairstyle or procedure. Traction alopecia is the loss of hair due to excessive hairstyling or from a hairstyle that is pulling too tightly, these can include pigtails or cornrows.

Q: Can you use a hair loss treatment at home?

There are many types of treatment for hair loss which can be used at home. Hair loss medications can be supplied as oral tablets or as topical gels, foams or solutions that you can apply directly to the scalp.

Q: How long does it take to receive my order?

For non-medicinal products, you are eligible to return the product within 14 days of receipt in the same packaging you received. For medicinal products, you are eligible to cancel the order only until it has been dispatched. From that point forward, you are no longer eligible to return the order.

What is hair loss?
