Description
Alli for Weight Loss
Alli is a weight loss aid tablet which prevents fat from being digested so the extra calories from dietary intake are passed through your stools instead. Weight loss tablets are often prescribed or given when a combination of diet and lifestyle changes have not been sufficient enough for weight loss.
Weight loss medication needs to be used in conjunction with eating a balanced diet and partaking in regular exercise.
What is Alli and how does it work?
Alli is a peripherally acting medicine that contains the active ingredient orlistat. This medicine binds itself to the body's natural enzymes and breaks down some of the fats consumed in food. Alli can stop about 25% of the fat from your meals from being absorbed into the body. Instead, this fat will be passed from the body through the stools.
Alli is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Alli is only intended for use by adults aged 18 and over who are overweight with a body mass index (BMI) of 28 or above.
