What are the insects that spread diseases?

The insects that you should be watchful of include mosquitos, ticks, biting flies, fleas and kissing bugs. Mosquitos can carry malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever. Ticks can carry Lyme disease, tick-borne encephalitis, African tick bite fever and Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever.

How can I prevent myself from being bitten or stung?

Preventing a sting or bite is important because insects and bugs can carry dangerous diseases. Use a combination of repellents, clothing and insecticide to ensure any exposed skin is covered. Insecticides work by killing the insects and can be applied to your belongings for added protection.
