DHEA sulphate (DHEAS) is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands. A DHEAS blood test can be used to measure the level of this hormone in the blood.
This test is used to help diagnose conditions that affect the adrenal glands, such as Addison's disease. It can also be used to help monitor the effectiveness of treatment for these conditions.
A DHEAS blood test is a simple and painless procedure. It requires a small sample of blood, which is taken from a vein in the arm. The sample is sent to a laboratory for analysis.
The results of a DHEAS blood test can help to determine whether there is a problem with the adrenal glands. They can also help to monitor the progress of treatment for conditions that affect the adrenal glands.
Why take a DHEA blood test?
DHEA often referred to as the anti-aging hormone due to its countless health benefits is often over looked when monitoring a persons health. Healthy levels of DHEA are linked to health benefits such as increased metabolism and cardiovascular health. Common uses for a DHEA test include: checking for hormone imbalances in men and women, identifying tumours, identifying adrenal disorders and checking testosterone levels.
Experts Opinion on DHEA Tests
"Elevated DHEA levels are seen in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). They are also seen in adrenal insufficiency conditions and can show how well the adrenal glands are working.
Low levels of DHEAS are sometimes seen in a range of symptoms, including low libido, erectile dysfunction, dehydration, weight loss, dizziness, and nausea."

Not received test results yet
I have tried several similar products in the past, but this one stands out as the most effective and reliable.
I ordered the blood test and was impressed as it was delivered swiftly. I promptly completed the kit, as per instructions and registered it. Seven days on I am still waiting for my results.
After contacting customer services, I was told their lab received my blood sample the same day as posted and my results were ready but I needed to register then the results could be uploaded.
I replied stating I had registered and could login but it states no results available.
I was then thanked for confirming and told when the results were ready I would be emailed.
So are they or are they not ready??
I will not be using this company again, but will visit a nearby clinic who have done several tests for me and actually do get the results back within a day or two-even sending them to me on a Saturday!
Incomplete blood test. Blood test very difficult to do at home and couldn't get enough blood so I asked for a refund as I ordered 3 tests and they would not refund offered a discount on future tests!!!!. Customer service is slow and unhelpful. Also no telephone number. I would never use this company again.
