Dosage
Terazol is available as a cream, gel, and lotion. For two weeks, it is applied to the skin two to three times per day. Observe every instruction on the prescription drug label. Use of this medication outside of the recommended range or for longer than advised is not advised.
Before and after using Terazol topical, wash your hands. Put the medication on clean, dry skin. Apply enough medication to the affected area and the surrounding skin to completely cover it.
Applying Terazol topically to open wounds or broken skin is not advised. Do not use tampons or douches during treatment if you are using the vaginal cream unless your doctor instructs you to. By doing so, you might harm your body by absorbing too much medication.
Keep this medication out of your mouth, nose, and eyes. Wash with water if it does manage to get into any of these places.
In order to apply the Terazol vaginal cream:
Utilizing the applicator, apply the cream into the vagina as instructed by your doctor, typically once every day before bed for three consecutive days. If your symptoms do not disappear, you might need to use a second 3-day treatment course.
If you use Terazol vaginal ovules, then:
Use the provided applicator to place 1 ovule into the vagina as high as possible once daily at bedtime for 7 days.
Immediately after placing the ovule, discard the applicator.
Terazol vaginal cream or ovule usage:
You must undergo a pelvic examination.
Just before going to bed, apply or swallow the medication.
Once the medication has been injected or applied, remove the applicator from the vagina.
If your hands are not a part of the treated area, wash your hands right away after using Terazol topical.
Do not engage in sexual activity while taking this medication. Terazol ovules and vaginal cream can weaken condoms or vaginal diaphragms, increasing your risk of becoming pregnant or transmitting a STD. Prior to engaging in sexual activity again, wait until you have finished taking this medication.
