Hoe te gebruiken:

Was en droog het gebied waar de crème wordt aangebracht.
Knijp een kleine hoeveelheid room op je vinger of een wattenstaafje.
Breng de crème aan op het gebied in een dikke laag.
Wrijf de crème voorzichtig 30 seconden in om ervoor te zorgen dat deze gelijkmatig wordt verdeeld.
Bedek het gebied met een occlusieve dressing (bijv. Plasticfolie of een verband) indien geregisseerd door uw zorgverlener.
Wacht tot de aanbevolen hoeveelheid tijd tot de crème van kracht wordt, die kan variëren, afhankelijk van de procedure die wordt uitgevoerd en de locatie van het gebied. Uw zorgverlener zal instructies geven over de timing.

Dosage and Application Instructions for LMX4:

For adults and elderly individuals aged 18 and over: Apply 1.5g to 2g of LMX4 to each 10cm² area of skin, covering a maximum area of 900cm² (approximately the size of a back or thigh).

1. Apply LMX4 30 to 60 minutes before the procedure.
2. Spread the cream in a thin layer using the specified amounts.
3. Ensure the cream remains on the skin and is not accidentally removed.
4. After 30 to 60 minutes, wipe off the cream with a tissue or gauze.
5. Begin the procedure shortly after removing the cream. Do not reapply the cream for at least 12 hours after removal.

Do not use on individuals under 18 years of age.

In case of excessive use: Although an overdose is unlikely, contact your doctor or nurse immediately, even if no symptoms are present. Overdose may occur from using more than the recommended amount, applying to large areas, or using for longer than advised. Symptoms of overdose may include blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, difficulty breathing, trembling, chest pain, or irregular heartbeat.

Store at room temperature between 59°-86°F (15°-30°C).

Exercise caution when using LMX4: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are seriously ill or elderly, as you may be more sensitive to lidocaine. When using other medications: Notify your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken any other medications, whether prescribed or not, especially LMX4 or other local anesthetics, medications for irregular heartbeats like tocainide, mexiletine, or amiodarone, the beta-blocker propranolol for hypertension, or cimetidine for heartburn or ulcers. Use LMX4 exactly as directed and ask questions if needed. Precautions for LMX4: For external use only. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Avoid applying to raw or blistered skin, in the ear, nose, mouth, anus, or on rashes, eczema, cuts, grazes, or wounds. Keep LMX4 out of your eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with lukewarm water or saline solution and protect the eye until sensation returns. Usage instructions vary based on the purpose, so follow the correct dosage instructions provided. Your doctor or nurse will guide you on where to apply the cream. If used over large areas, a healthcare professional will apply it. LMX4 numbs the treated area, so avoid scratching, rubbing, and exposure to extreme temperatures until the anesthetic effect subsides.
