For children over 6: Consume before meals. Take one 5 ml spoonful two or three times daily. Do not exceed 15 ml of Metatone per day. Do not administer to children under 6 without a doctor's advice. Dilute if necessary. Use diluted solution within 14 days. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not take an extra dose to compensate for a missed one. If an overdose occurs, contact your doctor immediately.

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredients in Metatone or for children under 6 years old. Metatone does not typically interact with other medicines. Consult your doctor before using Metatone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This product contains amaranth (E123), which may cause allergic reactions. If you experience an allergic reaction, stop using the medicine and seek medical help immediately. Metatone contains glucose and sucrose, which may harm your teeth. If you or your child have a sugar intolerance, consult your doctor before use. This product contains about 10% ethanol (alcohol), with each 5ml dose containing 420mg ethanol, equivalent to 10ml beer or 4ml wine. This may be harmful to individuals with alcoholism and should be considered by pregnant or breastfeeding women and those with liver disease or epilepsy. Each 5ml dose contains 16.4 mg sodium, which should be considered by those on a controlled sodium diet. Like all medicines, Metatone can cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them. Stop using the medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you have difficulty swallowing or breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, or a skin rash, as these may indicate a severe allergic reaction. Stop using the medicine if you experience abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. Report any side effects to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse, including those not listed here. You can also report side effects via the Yellow Card Scheme at www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard. Store below 25°C, keep the bottle upright in its original carton, and out of reach of children. Do not use Metatone after the expiration date on the box. If expired, return it to your pharmacist for disposal. Do not use if the bottle cap seal is broken or damaged when purchased.
