Warnings

Due to chlorhexidine creating a protective layer on teeth and gums to prevent plaque, temporary discoloration may appear on teeth and tongue. This can typically be removed by brushing and will fade after stopping treatment. Discoloration often happens when consuming foods and drinks like tea, coffee, and red wine within an hour of using the mouthwash. Other sources like beer and cigarettes can cause staining but are not linked to chlorhexidine digluconate in Corsodyl.
