Fluconazole at a strength of 150mg, colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch and sodium lauryl sulphate. The capsule shell contains brilliant blue FCF (E133), titanium dioxide (E171) and gelatine. The printing ink contains shellac, black iron oxide (E172) and propylene glycol.

If your doctor has prescribed Canesten Oral Capsule, follow their instructions. The treatment involves taking one Canesten Oral Capsule. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, with or without food, to treat thrush at the infection site. Symptoms should improve within two days. If there is no improvement after seven days, contact your doctor. If the infection returns after seven days, you may take another capsule. However, if you experience more than two infections in six months, consult your doctor.

Avoid using Canesten Oral Capsule if you are allergic to fluconazole or any of its ingredients. Do not take it if you are on terfenadine or cisapride. Canesten Oral Capsule may not be suitable for you. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about having thrush, if it's your first time with these symptoms, if you've had thrush more than twice in six months, if you or your partner have had a sexually transmitted disease, if you are under 16 or over 60, if you've had an allergic reaction to fluconazole or other antifungal products, if you have liver or kidney issues, or any chronic illness. The capsule contains lactose monohydrate; contact your doctor if you have a sugar intolerance. Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any other medications you are taking. Do not use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for an appropriate treatment.
