Anusol cream has antiseptic properties and is used for mild cases of piles. It reduces swelling and itching and restricts the growth of bacteria. It is a topical medication which is applied to the affected area directly.
How does it work?
Its formula contains Balsam Peru, Bismuth Oxide, Zinc oxide, glycerol, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, and other useful ingredients. These ingredients relieve the discomfort and pain, soothe the piles-related itching and cause the shrinking of the piles. It is very effective and is easily absorbed.

What will happen if I use too much Anusol Cream?
Using more than the recommended amount can cause side effects, e.g., vision problems, increased urination and thirst, swelling in feet and ankles, headache, weight loss and tiredness. The allergic reaction is rare but can occur.
Is it OK to use Anusol Cream regularly every day?
It should be used only as per requirement, and it is generally not recommended to use it for longer than 7 days unless recommended by the doctor.
How do piles develop?
Piles develop when very high pressure in the blood vessels in and around the anus causes the vessels to burst. Several factors, e.g., childbirth, pregnancy, being overweight, lifting heavy loads, constipation etc., can cause piles.
What is the difference between Anusol Ointment and Anusol Cream?
Both have the same active ingredient. However, the consistency is different. The cream is thinner and easy to rub, while the Ointment is thicker. it depends upon your personal choice.
When is the use of Anusol Cream not recommended?
This cream is not recommended in case of bleeding haemorrhoids and extremely irritated and injured rectal areas. You also need to discontinue the use in case of severe allergic reactions or if symptoms are not subsiding after a week of regular use.
How long does the Anusol Cream take to shrink the piles?
Most people will see the improvement after 1-2 weeks of regular use. You can make some lifestyle changes to minimize the chances of recurrence.
