What is Canesten Combi Pack?

Canesten Combi Pack is a combination treatment that works to fight the internal infection and the external symptoms of vaginal thrush (candidiasis). The pessary is inserted into the vagina to allow the medication to directly treat the infection and relieve itching symptoms. The cream is applied externally to topically treat the symptoms on the outside of the vagina.

How does it work?

The pessary treatment contains the active ingredient clotrimazole in tablet form which is then inserted into the vagina using a plastic applicator. This antifungal agent targets fungal infections and works to kill the infected skin in and around the vagina by interfering with the cell membrane of the fungi.

Is Canesten Combi Pack right for me?

If you have a vaginal thrush infection, you may be prescribed a Canesten Combi treatment. The type of treatment will depend on the severity of the infection and prescribed on an individual basis.

Commonly Used Dosage Guidelines for Canesten Combi Pack

Insert single single dose pessary at night, apply cream to genital area 2-3 times daily for 5-7 days or as advised by the prescriber.
