Product Description

Fortisip Yogurt Style is a Food for Special Medical Purposes that should only be consumed under medical supervision. It is a high energy (1.5kcal/ml), nutritionally complete, drinking yoghurt style supplement used to treat disease-related malnutrition. Fortisip Yogurt Style can be used to supplement the diet of patients who are unable to meet their nutritional needs through other foods, or it can be used as the sole source of nutrition.

Indications:

Only for enteral use. ACBS-approved and prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the following indications: short bowel syndrome; intractable malabsorption; pre-operative preparation of malnourished patients; inflammatory bowel disease; total gastrectomy; dysphagia; bowel fistulae; disease-related malnutrition.

Contra-Indications:

Galactosaemia patients and children under the age of three are not recommended.

Skimmed yoghurt (from cow’s milk), water, glucose syrup, sugar, whey protein (from cow’s milk), vegetable oils (rapeseed oil, sunflower oil), acidity regulator (citric acid), stabiliser (pectin), sodium citrate, potassium di hydrogen phosphate, flavouring, potassium citrate, choline chloride, carotenoids ((contains soy) (β-carotene, lutein, lycopene)), sodium chloride, magnesium hydroxide, colour (carminic acid), sodium L-ascorbate, calcium hydroxide, sodium fluoride, ferrous lactate, zinc sulphate, nicotinamide, copper gluconate, retinyl acetate, manganese sulphate, DL-α-tocopheryl acetate, calcium D-pantothenate, sodium selenite, D-biotin, pteroylmonoglutamic acid, cholecalciferol, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamin hydrochloride, potassium iodide, riboflavin, phytomenadione, chromium chloride, sodium molybdate.
