The enzymes are chosen for their ability to break down complex carbohydrates such as cellulose, chitosan, beta-glucans and pectins, and to hydrolyse proteins and peptides. Lysozyme occurs naturally in egg white; Serratia peptidase is supplied enteric-coated. Enzymes carry no authorised EFSA health claims, so the formula is described rather than promoted.
Directions
