Nestle OptiFibre is a powdered soluble dietary fibre that easily mixes in hot and cold liquids and foods without changing the texture or taste. It is a nutritionally deficient Food for Special Medical Purposes that should only be used under medical supervision.
It can aid in the maintenance of normal bowel function.
Easily dissolved in water
Made from partially hydrolyzed guar gum, it has no effect on taste, aroma, or colour, resulting in better patient compliance.
It quickly and easily dissolves in liquids and soft/puréed foods.
The maximum amount of ACBS-approved fibre per day should be 32g. Short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of undernourished patients, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, bowel fistulae, disease-related malnutrition are all indications.
