Milk thistle is a daisy-family plant whose seeds have been used in European herbal traditions for over a thousand years. They contain a complex of flavonolignans collectively called silymarin, of which silibinin is the main component; standardising the extract ensures a consistent amount in every capsule. The remaining ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, stearic acid and silicon dioxide.
Directions
Adults: one capsule two to three times daily. Children aged three to six: half to one capsule daily; six to twelve: half to one capsule twice daily; twelve and over: one capsule twice daily. Take in divided doses with a meal containing fat. Start low and increase gradually. Or as recommended by your practitioner.
