Numark Diarrhoea Relief Capsules help relieve acute diarrhoea in children over 12 and adults and help in acute and sudden diarrhoea by treating the overactive bowel. It is a very effective and fast solution to manage diarrhoea. Each capsule of Numark Diarrhoea Relief Capsules has loperamide hydrochloride (2mg) that lowers the frequency of stools by hardening them.  

It is backed by research, and a meta-review published in PLOS Medicine in 2007 found it to be an effective treatment for diarrhoea in children. However, the side effects outweigh the benefits for children with moderate and severe dehydration and malnourishment and those under 3 years of age.  

Its straightforward design allows for easy and waterproof consumption, making it best for on-the-go use. It suits children over 12 and adults, is easy to swallow, convenient to use, and promises comfort during this uncomfortable time.

How to take

For oral consumption. Ingest whole with water. For adults and children 12 years and older: Begin with 2 capsules, then take 1 capsule after each instance of diarrhea. Do not exceed 6 capsules in a day. Replenish fluids by increasing liquid intake.

Do not use Loperamide Capsules if: you are allergic to loperamide or any other ingredients; you need to maintain normal bowel movements to prevent issues like bowel blockage or abnormal colon widening; you have constipation, bowel blockage, or a bloated stomach, especially in children with severe dehydration (symptoms include drowsiness, reduced urination, dry mouth/tongue, unresponsiveness, or glazed eyes); you have bowel inflammation or irritation, such as diverticulosis, colitis, or bacterial enterocolitis from Salmonella, Shigella, or Campylobacter (symptoms include watery or bloody diarrhea); you have dysentery symptoms, like blood in stools and high fever; you have irritable bowel syndrome. Do not give these capsules to children under 12. Use caution if: you have or suspect fluid and salt loss due to diarrhea, especially in children and frail or elderly patients with severe diarrhea; you have liver disease; you have inflammatory bowel disease; you have AIDS. Stop using loperamide at the first sign of abnormal stomach swelling. Persistent diarrhea may indicate more serious conditions, so avoid prolonged use.
