Product Description

Urgotul Wound Dressing 10cm x 10cm is an advanced wound care solution with a flexible contact layer with TLC technology. It is designed to ensure pain-free dressing changes and provides moist wound-healing through Urgo's Lipido-Colloid technology. Ideal for acute wounds such as burns, skin abrasions, traumatic wounds, and post-operative wounds, it promotes faster recovery while being gentle on the skin.

The Urgotul range helps stimulate fibroblast proliferation by 45%, encouraging rapid tissue regeneration. It also aids in the improvement of surrounding skin, making it an excellent choice for treating wounds in sensitive areas.

A study published in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair found that Urgotul's moist wound-healing environment significantly speeds up recovery and minimises complications.

Benefits:

  • Reduces the risk of infection by maintaining a moist healing environment.
  • Designed for painless and easy dressing changes, enhancing patient comfort.
  • Promotes faster skin regeneration and wound closure.

Urgotul helps speed healing, making it an essential tool for effective wound care.

How to take

Clean the wound according to standard care procedures, then rinse with normal saline. If an antiseptic was previously used, rinse the wound thoroughly with normal saline before applying UrgoTul. Carefully dry the surrounding skin. UrgoTul can be trimmed with sterile tools to fit the wound size if necessary. Remove the protective wings and apply UrgoTul in a single layer on the wound. Cover UrgoTul with a secondary dressing, such as a sterile pad secured with a conforming bandage (K-Band/K-Lite), adhesive tape, or an elastic tubular bandage. Apply compression bandaging over UrgoTul if prescribed. Change UrgoTul every 2 to 4 days based on the wound type and condition. UrgoTul can remain in place for up to 7 days depending on the wound condition and protocol (when used with a compression bandage system for venous leg ulcers like K-TWO). For patients with congenital epidermolysis bullosa, change the dressing every 1 to 3 days.

Welzo is not liable for allergen information. Always follow the directions/ingredients on the product packaging to ensure proper use.

Warnings

UrgoTul may stick to latex surgical gloves, so it is advised to wet the gloves with normal saline for easier handling of the dressing. If there are signs of local infection, consider switching to an antibacterial dressing from the Urgo range, like UrgoTul SSD or UrgoTul Silver, based on clinical judgement. For deep, complex, or fistula wounds, leave part of the dressing visible for easy removal. The dressing is packaged for single-use and sterile; reusing it can increase the risk of infection. Do not re-sterilize the dressing.

Wound dressings

The product is what the product is. The issue is with the delivery time. Surely such a simple order could have been received, proceed packaged, despatched and delivered within 24 hours, not the 4 days it actually took. You are supplying a wound dressing. There needs to be urgency in your processing.
