The WeCan Y-17 is a premium folding electric wheelchair for users who want modern styling, strong everyday performance and real comfort. Its luxury carbon-style frame keeps weight down without sacrificing rigidity, and the whole chair folds in seconds for car travel, holidays and compact storage at home.

Key features

• Lightweight carbon-fibre-style folding frame
• Intuitive joystick control with adjustable speed settings for indoor and outdoor use
• Attendant remote control for assisted operation
• Rechargeable lithium battery, chargeable via the controller or separately
• Electromagnetic brakes engage automatically when the joystick is released
• Freewheel mode for manual pushing
• Padded seat, supportive armrests and adjustable seat belt

The Y-17 is designed for both independent and assisted use. The user controls the chair through the joystick at walking pace, while a companion can take over with the attendant remote when needed. Electromagnetic braking means the chair holds still on slopes the moment the joystick is released, and the freewheel lever lets a carer push the chair with the motors disengaged.

We understand that investing in a mobility scooter is an important decision, that is why we offer flexible payment options to make it easier.

Pay in 4 Interest-Free Installments

At checkout, simply select “Clearpay” as your payment method. Clearpay allows you to spread the cost of your mobility scooter over four interest-free installments, paid every two weeks.

Here’s how it works:

1. Choose Clearpay at checkout – no lengthy forms or credit checks.

2. Pay the first installment today – this is usually 25% of your order total.

3. The remaining three payments are taken automatically from your chosen payment method every two weeks.

4. No interest or hidden fees – as long as you make your payments on time.

It’s a simple, safe, and flexible way to make your mobility scooter more affordable, helping you get the independence and comfort you deserve — without the upfront cost.

Clearpay is available to UK residents aged 18 and over. Late fees may apply for missed payments. Terms and conditions apply.

Some of our products, such as mobility scooters and daily living aids, are eligible for VAT relief under HMRC rules.

You can claim VAT relief if you are, or are buying for, a person who is chronically sick or disabled, and the goods are for personal or domestic use.

This means the person has a long-term illness or disability that substantially affects their everyday activities.

At checkout, you’ll be asked to fill in your details and confirm the declaration below to claim VAT relief:

“I confirm that I am, or I am buying for, a chronically sick or disabled person, and that the goods are for personal or domestic use.”

By agreeing to this declaration, you are confirming that you meet the conditions set out by HMRC Notice 701/7 for VAT exemption. You can read more here.
