Description

What is Aciclovir?

Aciclovir is an antiviral medication used to treat the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Symptoms of the virus include genital herpes, cold sores and blisters/red sores in the affected areas. The Aciclovir medication will not cure herpes completely but will reduce the symptoms and help to treat further growth from future. Aciclovir can also be prescribed to treat other infections, such as shingles or chickenpox which are caused by a similar virus.

How does Aciclovir work?

The Aciclovir tablets work to prevent the growth and spreading of the herpes simplex virus (HSV). The antiviral tablets won't kill the virus but will provide aid to the body's immune system to fight the infection.
