It is an advanced dressing and a vital component for any modern medical kit, providing rapid healing for a wide range of breaks in the skin such as cuts, burns, ulcers, or surgical incisions.

The Acitilite Manuka Honey dressing is loaded with exceptional antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, as rendered by its natural ingredients. A UK-based Burns Nurse Consultant, Jacky Edwards, confirms the benefits of Acitilite dressing by stating, "Acitilite dressings performed well in managing wounds as severe as burn wounds, making it a popular go-to choice in both patients and healthcare professionals."

Benefits:

  • Generously sized, lightweight and breathable design.
  • Densely infused with Manuka honey which ensures rapid healing in an environment highly protective against microbial growth and infection.
  • The non-adherent structure ensures smooth application and painless removal, aiding in swift healing without disrupting the soft tissue.

How to use

Remove the product from the outer packaging, take off the clear films, and place it on the wound with either side facing down. Use a secondary dressing of your choice, such as an absorbent dressing or a semi-permeable film dressing, based on the wound's condition. We suggest using Eclypse Adherent or Advazorb Border. Actilite can also be used with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) or as a primary layer to reduce bacteria. Store at room temperature. Honey in the product may solidify in cold temperatures and become more liquid in warm temperatures. If hardened, warm it between your hands to soften before use. If too liquid, cool it in a fridge for a few minutes.

Please consult the product packaging for accurate instructions on how to use the product.

Warnings/Allergens

Actilite contains Manuka honey and Manuka oil. It is ideal for granulating or epithelialising wounds, providing antibacterial protection and promoting a moist wound healing environment. It is suitable for all wound types requiring a primary layer and antibacterial effect, including cuts, abrasions, burns, surgical wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and infected wounds. Although the honey is not absorbed into the bloodstream, monitor blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. Do not use if allergic to bee venom. Honey application may cause discomfort; consider analgesics based on wound sensitivity. If discomfort persists, stop use and rinse the wound with saline solution.
