For individuals aged 12 and above, including adults and the elderly:

Step 1: Use the ear drops once or twice daily for 3 to 4 days until hearing improves and discomfort decreases:

1. Twist the cap of the dropper bottle counterclockwise to break the seal on first use.
2. Remove the cap to access the nozzle.
3. Tilt your head and apply up to 5 drops into the ear.
4. Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to let the drops settle.
5. Wipe away excess with a tissue.
6. Repeat for the other ear if needed. Wash hands after use. Replace the cap and store the bottle in the carton. Avoid using loose cotton wool in the ears. This treatment often helps remove ear wax naturally.

Step 2: After 3 to 4 days, any remaining ear wax or drops can be rinsed out with a bulb syringe:

1. Fill a basin with warm water.
2. Fill the bulb syringe by squeezing it and letting it refill with water.
3. Tilt your head over the basin and gently place the syringe nozzle at the ear canal opening. Squeeze the bulb to rinse, letting water fall into the basin.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if needed, but stop if uncomfortable.
5. Wipe away excess water with a tissue.
6. Repeat for the other ear if necessary, unless temporary hearing loss or dizziness occurs, in which case wait at least one day before syringing the other ear.

Ensure the nozzle does not obstruct water flow from the ear, as this can also damage the eardrum and impair hearing. Do not use the syringe for ear drops. If you have other ear issues, use Otex only with a doctor's guidance. Do not use Otex if you wear a hearing aid. Consult a healthcare professional if you have a history of ear problems.
