How to take
Always use this medication exactly as directed by your pharmacist or doctor. Consult them if you are uncertain. Do not use Buscopan IBS Relief continuously for more than two weeks. Contact your pharmacist or doctor if new symptoms appear, or if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after two weeks. For adults and children aged 12 and over: Begin with 1 tablet three times daily. You may increase to a maximum of 2 tablets four times daily if necessary. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Buscopan IBS Relief is not recommended for children under 12 years. If you take more than the recommended dose, contact a doctor or go to a hospital immediately, and bring the medicine pack with you. For any additional questions about this product, consult your pharmacist or doctor.

Use Buscopan IBS Relief only if your doctor has confirmed you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Avoid taking it if you are allergic to hyoscine butylbromide or any other ingredients, cannot digest certain sugars, have glaucoma, megacolon, myasthenia gravis, or if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure. Even if diagnosed with IBS, check with a healthcare professional if you are over 40 and experiencing different symptoms, have recently passed blood, have severe constipation, lost appetite or weight, have difficulty urinating, a fever, have traveled abroad, have a fast heart rate, have been treated for excessive sweating, or are feeling nauseous or vomiting. Seek immediate advice if you have persistent or worsening abdominal pain with fever, nausea, vomiting, changes in bowel movements, abdominal tenderness, low blood pressure, faintness, or blood in stools. Inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and herbal remedies, as Buscopan IBS Relief may interact with them. Specifically, mention if you are taking antihistamines, tetracyclic or tricyclic antidepressants, antipsychotics, dopamine antagonists, beta 2 adrenergic medicines, quinidine, disopyramide, amantadine, or anticholinergic medicines. Avoid use if pregnant, likely to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Some may experience temporary blurred vision; refrain from driving or operating machinery until vision normalizes. Buscopan IBS Relief may cause side effects. Mild side effects include dry mouth and dyshidrosis. If these become bothersome, consult your healthcare provider. Stop use and seek immediate medical attention if you experience skin reactions, increased heart rate, bladder issues, anaphylactic reactions, breathing difficulties, or allergic reactions. If you have a painful red eye with vision loss, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately. Report any unlisted side effects to your healthcare provider. Store below 25°C in original packaging, out of children's reach. Do not use after the expiry date on the packaging.

Can these Buscopan IBS Relief tablets be used during pregnancy?
No harm has been reported in those who have taken this medicine during pregnancy. However, since limited safety data are available on pregnant women, it is better to avoid using it and consult the doctor for better alternatives.
How would I know that I have IBS?
IBS has some signs which are not common with ordinary abdominal pain. You will have abdominal pain and cramps, which worsen after a meal, and you will feel some relief after the defecation. Bloated tummy with constipation, watery diarrhoea etc., can also be noted.
Is driving safe after taking Buscopan IBS Relief pills?
Blurred vision is one of the side effects of these tablets. If these effects are noted, driving or working on machinery is not recommended until the effects have resolved.
How long do the Buscopan tablets take to work?
Commonly, these tablets work within 15-20 minutes. However, wait for some days and consult the doctor to change the drug if no effects are observed after 1-2 weeks of regular use.
Can food also trigger IBS flare-ups?
It is not a foodborne disease. However, some foods can cause flare-ups, e.g., high protein diet, dairy products, processed foods, e.g., chips and cookies, carbonated drinks, refined grains, alcohol etc.
