Next, add the pouch into your washing machine along with your laundry and run a normal wash cycle. As the hot (or warm) water enters the cotton pouch, it will release the saponin (soap) from the soapberry shells, naturally washing your clothes. In case you prefer to wash with cold water, you can pre-soak the soapberries in hot water for a few minutes and then add them, along with the water, into the washing machine. This step helps activate the soap and ensures it works effectively as a laundry detergent.
